With a wide range of experience in K-12 education as teacher and administrator, as well as an adjunct and associate professor in teacher and administrative education, I bring many gifts to the profession of Educational Leadership.

* Entered education in the late 1970's from a family of educators; Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies at Sonoma
  State University, with a K-8 Multiple Subjects Credential, began teaching career in the state of California

* Left education to explore the realm of business and entrepreneurship
 in the 1980's; Bachelor of Arts in Business
  Management at Sonoma State University, started a Master's in Business Administration

* Returned to K-12 education in the 1990's after moving to Oregon, returning to teaching and began building
  administration; Master of Arts in Teaching and Administrator Licensure at Lewis & Clark College; continued

  education at University of Oregon in Initial Superintendent Licensure program

* Moved to New Mexico to pursue Doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of New Mexico; expanded

  building administrator experience in diverse, multi-cultural settings; completed fourth administrator experience,
  building a school from the ground up--from a school of 865 students in a portable building school to the three
  schools it is today (1800 students combined population)

*Joined the higher education community in 2008 as professor, supervisor, mentor/ coach and program coordinator;
  working at Marylhurst University in Teacher Education, teaching and supervising at Portland State University in IAL
  and CAL programs, teaching, supervising and dissertation committee work at Lewis and Clark College in CAL and
  Doctorate programs, and supervising in the IAL program for University of Oregon

*Service to the education community includes professional organization membership and active involvement,
  including conference organization, such as the NCPEA (National Council of Professors of Education Administration)
  national conference, (OASCD) Oregon's Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, New Teacher
  conferences, and Oregon's Mentoring Summit conference. Professional membership includes Oregon's state
  Mentoring and Coaching Networks; the state's ELL Collaborative; (OACTE) Oregon Association of Colleges for
  Teacher Education, (ORPEA) Oregon Professors of Education Administration, and (OLN) Oregon Leadership Network



*Emerging consultant work includes initial contract in 2010-13 as Tribes Trainer and Professional Development
  Facilitator, assisting five elementary schools in their positive culture transformation through Tribes process: Tribes
  Basic Training, Professional Learning Community Development, Tribes Parent
Training, and long-term goal planning
  and development. Tribes: Discovering Gifts in Middle School is the work
for 2013-14, starting with the basic training
  for this level, and continuing with Professional Learning Community Development and long-
term goal planning and
  development



*Presented at numerous conferences focusing on mentoring, Tribes, and equity, such as: Coaching for
 Transformational Systems of Learning, A Decade of Work: Shaping Instructional Leadership for Equity, and Building a
 Classroom Learning Community.
Publications include articles, dissertation, and research team report, such as: From
 the Ground Up: Building and Sustaining a New School’s Learning Community, and Building a Tribes Learning
 Community
